Walk to the Big Springs River or ATV to Henry's Fork of the Snake River for fishing and moose watching, or into Macks Inn for lunch, live dinner theatre or an ice cream. Float the river in your own rafts, or rent them just down the street at Macks Inn for a scenic, tranquil float down Big Springs River and take out just 3 blocks from the cabin. Tour Johnny Sack’s Cabin and Big Springs, the headwaters of the Snake River, where monster trout can be fed and muskrats and geese abound. Take a nature walk along the path at Big Springs, or head further into the mountains for excellent biking, ATV or Snowmobile trips! You can access the trails, in fact, directly from the cabin! 

Island Park also has many restaurants, hiking trails, a waterfall and museum at Mesa Falls, 2 State Parks (Harriman and Henry's Lake), 2 lakes, 2 rivers and numerous fishing ponds. In fact, fishing reigns supreme in Island Park, and includes some of the greatest stretches of Blue Ribbon fly fishing in the U.S.!

The cabin sleeps 12. Guests will appreciate the moose room with a balcony overlooking the 18’ ceilings, 120” screen for movies (DVD or VCR), and 5 separate couches. The kitchen and dining room (bear room) are well-equipped. The family room (deer room) has a futon for sleeping and a foos ball table.  

The main floor is also host to the master bedroom and bath with a walk-in shower with separate shower heads on each side. Another 1/2 bath (the buffalo room) is located just off the deer room. 

Upstairs is the balcony overlooking the great room (moose room), a bed and bathroom (elk room) and a loft, with 4 twin beds and 1 full size bed, overlooking the dining area. 

Outside is a fire pit with log benches and a 14’ tall shed to house the ATVs, canoe, and kayak.  The shed features a climbing rope, a rope ladder, and a climbing peg board for competitions.

The area is so close to Yellowstone National Park...Just 22 miles away. The town of West Yellowstone, MT offers shopping, museums, restaurants, the Playmill Theater, and an IMAX theatre. 

This cabin does NOT allow pets or smoking.

Kitchen amenities: full size refrigerator (2), stove/oven, microwave, no dishwasher, and no coffee pot. 

Other amenities: TV in the loft with DVD and VCR.  DVD, VCR with the big screen (120”) projector, no air-conditioning, no washer and no dryer, wood fireplace, propane heating furnace, and outside fire pit. 

This cabin does NOT have internet access or cable TV.
